Happy Independence Day! Here’s Where to Celebrate in Middle Tennessee

In just one week, grills will be fired up, firework shows prepared, and parades lined up, all in preparation for the Fourth of July.

Around Middle Tennessee, from Nashville to Franklin, there are tons of festivities happening, from block-wide celebrations to firework watch parties. If you’re still in need of plans for the Fourth, here are the top events to check out.

Let Freedom Sing: Nashville July 4th Fireworks

Recording fireworks on a cell phone.

What: Let Freedom Sing is probably the biggest celebration in the area—and was even named one of the “Best Free 4th of July Fireworks Across the U.S.” by Travel + Leisure—with live music, a huge fireworks show, and tons of local vendors.

This year, the city is bringing in big names like Brett Eldredge, Jessy Wilson, and Dylan Scott to headline the event, as well as several other major artists. Once the fireworks kick off, the GRAMMY-wining Nashville Symphony will be playing some music along with the show! Rumor has it, this year’s fireworks will be some of the best yet.

The party starts right away in the morning at 11am, with a country brunch and music from The Cowpokes. The good times keep rolling all the way until midnight, with more bands on the lineup (and more food).

VIP tickets are available for purchase, and will get you exclusive access to the rooftop lounge.

This year you can expect science experiments and demonstrations (including fireworks chemistry!) and local food trucks, as well as live music from The Gripsweats.

You’ll have to purchase a ticket for the event, as general admission tickets won’t get you in. If you choose, you can upgrade your ticket to include access to a special laser show!
